The 3rd Sino-US Nuclear Medical College Forum and 2018 Linyi International Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Summit was held in Linyi on August 17-19, 2018, sponsored by Sino-US Nuclear Medical College, Linyi Talent Office and Tancheng County People's Government, and hosted by Nuclear Medicine Branch of Shandong Medical Association, Tancheng County Talent Work Leading Group Office and Shandong Meade Yinghua Science and Technology Co. More than thirty overseas guests, including Karl Herholz, Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and Professor of the University of Manchester, and Benjamin Tsui, Fellow of the IEEE and Professor of Johns Hopkins University, joined the forum, along with other distinguished guests, including Prof. Li Yaming, Dean of the Sino-American College of Nuclear Medicine and President of the East Asian Nuclear Medicine Federation, Prof. Shi Hongcheng, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Branch, Prof. Wang Hui, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Professor Li Yaming, Vice Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Shi Hongcheng, Vice Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Wang Hui, Vice Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Yang Guoren, Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Shandong Medical Association, and Professor Zhao Xiuyi, Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Shandong Medical Association, and more than seventy domestic nuclear medicine and molecular imaging experts came to the conference. Prof. Yaming Li and Prof. Yun Zhou of Johns Hopkins University served as the chairmen of the congress.

The opening ceremony of the congress was held on August 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Mr. Li Zongtao, Vice Chairman of Linyi Municipal Political Consultative Conference, made a warm speech on behalf of Linyi City, welcoming experts from home and abroad to attend the conference in Linyi. Wu Shouju, Vice Mayor of Tancheng County People's Government, and Prof. Li Yaming signed the framework agreement on behalf of Tancheng County People's Government and CMC to establish “Tancheng International Molecular Imaging Center”. Tancheng International Molecular Imaging Center was established with the purpose of introducing world-class molecular imaging experts, incubating nuclear medicine and molecular imaging-related industrial projects, to create a 10 billion molecular imaging industry cluster. During the meeting, Tancheng International Molecular Imaging Center docked a number of industrial projects, including cyclotron equipment production projects, medical therapeutic nuclide production projects, medical radiopharmaceutical production projects, drug R&D outsourcing service projects, new drug R&D projects, drug R&D quantitative software projects, covering the whole industry chain of nuclear medicine molecular imaging.

On August 18-19, 29 experts from the United States, Britain, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Finland, Pakistan, Mongolia and other countries held wonderful academic reports. The academic reports of this conference were of high level, new content and wide field, and were well received by the participating experts.
