2015 International Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Summit held in Linyi

On the morning of September 26, 2015, “2015 International Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Summit Forum” organized by Chinese Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Branch, Shandong Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Branch, Linyi Science and Technology Cooperation and Application Research Institute, Tancheng County Hi-Tech Electronics Industrial Park, Shandong Meade Yinghua Technology Co. The forum was held in Linyi.

The forum gathered nuclear medicine experts from 7 countries and regions at home and abroad, and discussed and exchanged views on nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, precision medicine and other areas of counter-war. Attending guests included Dr. Rathan Subramaniam, Chairman of the American College of Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Hee-Seong Fan, Chairman of the Asian University Alliance for Nuclear Medicine Biology, Dr. Jae-Tae Lee, Chairman of the Korean Society of Nuclear Medicine, Prof. Wen-Sheng Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan Society of Nuclear Medicine, Prof. Yamin Lee, Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Society of Medicine, Prof. Tie Wang, Vice-Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine, Prof. Jing Wang and Secretary General, Prof. Hui Wang. Prof. Zhang Yongxue, Chairman of Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Nuclear Society, Prof. He Zuoxiang, Chairman of Nuclear Medicine Branch of Shandong Nuclear Society, Prof. Hou Guihua and other 80 famous experts at home and abroad.

A total of 18 academic presentations were held, including 10 presentations by overseas experts and 8 presentations by domestic experts, covering the cutting-edge fields of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging and the latest progress at home and abroad. Some of the presentations, such as “Tracking Cell Migration Using Multimodal Molecular Imaging” by Dr. Jae-Tae Lee from Korea, “Translational Research on Dopamine System in the Brain” by Dr. Wen-Sheng Huang from Taiwan, “One-Stop Clinical Tumor Diagnosis, Staging and Rephasing Protocol” by Dr. Sun Long from Xiamen University, etc., have been highly evaluated by the attending experts.

The forum received strong support from the municipal government of Linyi, Shandong Province and the county government of Tancheng County. At the summit forum, the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine and the American College of Nuclear Medicine signed an agreement to jointly establish the Sino-American College of Nuclear Medicine. China and the U.S. College of Nuclear Medicine will be located in Linyi, Linyi as a base to promote China and the U.S. in the field of nuclear medicine research, education, training, standards development and other cooperation. The Chinese Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Branch also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Nuclear Medicine with the Linyi Municipal Government, aiming to promote the further development of nuclear medicine in Linyi.

In recent years, Linyi City has actively responded to the national call to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, vigorously introducing talents and supporting high-tech enterprises. Located in Tancheng County, Tancheng County, Li Zhuang Town, Shandong Maide Yinghua Technology Co., Ltd. is a typical representative of the enterprise by the U.S. returned to the United States, led by Dr. Liu Jiguo, engaged in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging equipment research and development. Since settling in Tancheng County in 2012, MADEYINGHUA has successfully launched a series of small animal PET, PET/CT and PET/MR equipment for molecular imaging research.
